ACE Launches the First National Entrepreneurship Educators Programme for Irish HEIs

ACE has now established Ireland’s first programme dedicated to supporting academic and non-academic staff in embedding entrepreneurial teaching and learning in their institution.

DCU, one of the consortium partners, commenced delivery of The Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Learning Level 9 Module for Irish HEIs. All Irish HEIs have been offered at least one place on the course and we now have 24 participants from 17 HEIs, across a range of disciplines. Demand for the programme is high and subject to its success and future funding, we plan to run the programme on an annual basis.

The programme adopts a blended learning approach, offering a mix of face-to-face tutorial and online seminars. Course content covers: national and international entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education policy; key concepts in entrepreneurship; case studies and best practice; embedding entrepreneurship in higher education and teaching approaches for the entrepreneurial educator. It is aimed at non-business and business academics, and non-academics staff. Participants are nominated by their HEI, however, if you would like to register your interest in future programmes, please email, Bridget Kerrigan, the ACE Project Manager, at bridget.kerrigan@dkit.ie.
