Information on student-led enterprise, which gives students a chance to 'learn by doing' as well information on setting up and running student enterprise societies
The QQI guidelines describe effective student engagement as a critical component of a healthy ‘entrepreneurship ecosystem’, with a key indicator of which being where Peer-to-peer student-led entrepreneurship-focused initiatives are encouraged and have been established across the institution. They describe how institutions can facilitate this process by recognising, encouraging and supporting student forums, such as Student Enterprise Interns, Enterprise Societies, Innovation Societies, Lateral Thinker Groups and Creativity Clubs.
These resources support HEI staff and students to establish sustainable student enterprise infrastructures, creating a space where students have an opportunity to access a rich offer of peer led activities. They include templates and tools for establishing enterprise societies, including advice on structures, activity descriptors as well as national and international student-led enterprise case studies.
